Within the program of the Balearic Island’s Summer School 2019 we present Henri Quillé. When Attitude Becomes Architecture.
The workshop revisits an overlooked chapter in the recent history of Architecture: a critical anthology of Henri Quillé’s oeuvre in Formentera; and touches upon questions of modern, timeless and selfsufficient architecture; the myth of the mediterranean island and sustainability. A multi-format program consisting of an immersive summer school, a seminar and an exhibition; and which includes lectures by Carles Oliver and Curro Claret; recounts of the Formentera’s architecture and resources by Marià Castelló, Tanit Quillé and Som Energia Eivissa; an introduction of Broner and Sert by Elena Ruiz (MACE); and the reacts of H Arquitectes and Antoni Ramon (ETSAB-UPC). Curated and directed by Guillem Aloy, Toni Gelabert and Tomeu Ramis.
